Gravity Tiles

Difficult times for me now folks. Anyway I am not discussing those here otherwise rarer than a blog it’ll become a diary entry by me for today (or the past few days!). I wanted to discuss…yes discuss (and not introduce something new today) about a favorite pastime or say leisure activity of mine, which I’m  sure many have in common with me. Remember this one of my favorite and not THE favorite. Ahem…excuse my American English Spellings.

Well, people (actually the company guys) decided to call it GRAVITY TILES (perhaps people only named it seems to be ancient game, I shall write about its history sometimes else). The version I have is from HOYLE BOARD GAMES and the categorized it under MAHJONG TILES (…history later). Every since I started playing it I tried hard or the illusive NULL BOARD i.e. board ended with no tiles remaining.  Its not that I haven't done it ever, the thing is I performed a HAT-TRICK of it!!!

For those who are listening about HOYLE or GRAVITY TILES or even BOARD GAMES let me brief you up a bit. BOARD GAMES, first of all are…eh here let me quote WIKIPEDIA: A board game is a game in which counters or pieces that are placed on, removed from, or moved across a "board" (a pre-marked surface usually specific to that game). As do other form of entertainment, board games can represent nearly any subject. There are many different types and styles of board games, including those, at the most-basic level, that that have no inherent theme—such as Checkers—as well as more-complicated games with definite subjects, or even narratives, like Clue.

And now the category that HOYLE places GRAVITY TILES into (I’d prefer it to be in TILES category…whatever) MAHJONG TILES. And WIKI says: Mahjong tiles are tiles of Chinese origin that are used to play many games, most notably Mahjong and Mahjong solitaire. Although they are most commonly tiles, they may also refer to playing cards with similar contents as well (I didn’t very well understand this! Ha-ha).

Now to the big thing, for all you who want to know (only for hose who want to know) what GRAVITY TILES is, here it is from WIKI: I could not find it in WIKI hurray!!!!!!!!!! So here's a VICKY for you guys (for a change). In this board game (however I can’t imagine how it would be possible to play it on a real board…silly board games). For starters it will be a board full of tiles (aha eureka...that’s why it falls under board games). Your goal is score as many as points as well leading to a board with no remaining tiles. How do you do THAT? Well, simple click on tiles with similar colors stacked together so that they vanish and so on… Check out this link http://www.wiseacre-gardens.com/games/gravity.html, you’ll understand most of it.

But of course my idea of this post was to tell you guys that I had performed a hat-trick of the NULL board (did I tell already?). Check the pics above.
