Adobe AIR

Adobe air; Wikipedia says:

Adobe AIR is a cross-platform runtime environment for building rich Internet applications using Adobe Flash, Adobe Flex, HTML, or Ajax, that can be deployed as a desktop application. Adobe made a public preview release of AIR (then called Apollo) along with a software development kit (SDK) and extension for developing Apollo applications with the Flex framework, on March 19, 2007. On June 10, 2007, Apollo was renamed to AIR and a public beta release of the runtime was launched. Public beta 2 of AIR SDK was released on October 1, 2007. Public beta 3 was released on December 12, 2007, and version 1.0 was released on February 25, 2008. A Linux alpha version was released on March 31, 2008.

Well did I mention that AIR stands for Adobe© Integrated Runtime? Well what the standard definition says is out of my understanding reach (specially the developing application part and the FLASH+FLEX+AJAX part). But what I seem to understand is that you can stay online and connected (just as the URL says, as it starts with CONNECTNOW) much like windows LIVE (hopefully). But due to some bad cookies or some error I couldn’t open it yet (I mean properly), it always suggests to troubleshoot. So some of the features (which I discovered and did not copy from http://connectnow.adobe.com or www.wikipedia.org) are uploading files, online meeting, creating Acrobat files (PDFs), and many more which I havnt been able to discover (Ha! I saw the SCREENSHOTS on http://images.google.com and http://images.info.com, which showed maps!). I think AIR 1.1 is the latest!

Well I’ll keep on trying and will soon update you guys!

Till then Bye Bye FOLKS (daily the same KUDOS doesn’t feel good)!
